Adventures In Amsterdam

Filed under Weed In My Coffee

Needing to get away for a mini vaca, my husband and I decided to jet off to Amsterdam for the weekend.  Upon arrival we decided to kick back at this crowded little cafe before calling it a night. Their menu was quite extensive and not very discreet, it contained everything from martini’s to marijuana!  Yep, Mary was on the menu, it’s legal in Amsterdam you know! Maybe we should consider relocating? Just a thought.

According to the World Health Organization (WHO,) Marijuana is the most commonly used illicit drug in the world. 147 million people regularly indulge to be exact, that’s 2.5% of the worlds population! So,  even if you are amongst the % of non-smokers,  you definitely know a smoker of marijuana.

Marijuana, scientifically termed Cannibus, has over 420 street/code names. Some of the most popular being: Pot, Gangster, Aunt Mary, Skunk, Ganja, Bobby, Sinsemilla, Kif, Mary Jane, Reefer, Grass, Chronic and Boom…

Let’s not fake the funk, America is amongst the largest consumer of Cannabis, just ask Montell Williams, Bill Maher, Bush, Clinton and Marion Barry. Oh no!  That was crack, but you get my point.

So, my question is, when you smoke weed, does it make you more intelligent?  Are you more intellectual? More intuitive? Do you see things more precisely? Do you feel like your consciousness is elevated? Or, is it just me? No, seriously? Those of you who indulge know exactly what I’m talking about. Beyond the laughter, the munchies and the intermittent, momentary gazing, there is a heightened sense of awareness, an intellectual profoundness of sorts that is experienced, which seems to be on an elevated level. You can see straight through all the bullshit, and everything is extremely transparent. Is it because your subconscious is at rest and you have no preconceived thoughts, worries or concerns? Hmm, don’t know… But whatever the case, me likey!!!
